From the intuitive interface to the incredible support by the designer, BetterPlane has me feeling compelled to write a “wordy” review. Before I step into opining…. I want to say that if you haven’t yet, please read Jason’s story which speaks to his motivation. He lost his father at a young age due to an issue with questionable maintenance. This is one of the reasons I subscribed to the lifetime option. I hope that he has all of the success that he deserves! Before purchasing my airplane, I looked at a different plane that was missing logbooks. The missing logbooks lead to a deep discount in their asking price. Without those logbooks, it is difficult to prove that AD’s and other requirements have been complied with. It is critically important that a backup is created just in case the actual physical logbooks are lost or stolen. Maintaining any airplane and keeping accurate records is a challenge. Throw in AD compliance in a complicated twin and the record keeping workload is increased by a factor of 10. I own a Cessna 421C model that has a series of inspection compliance requirements. The airplane was built in 1976 making it 50 years old now. I have the original logbooks from the mid-seventies when it was test flown in Wichita by the factory test pilots. This application is very intuitive and efficient. I have seven logbooks and it was very easy to scan the pages into the app. The logbooks are divided into categories; Airframe, Engine, Propeller and Avionics. It also has a section for your own files to be added and organized into folders. There I have created a section for STC’s and miscellaneous items. I really like the fact that I can add members and give them access with different permissions. I am adding my mechanic and my avionics shop. Thank you Jason for being so amazing and designing a product that is serving the aviation community at the highest level! Your father is proud!”

I’m able to track and easily see the status of my airplane’s maintenance right from the dashboard. No more digging into my logbook to see when the next oil change is due. No more hokey text labels next to the tachometer! The developer is VERY responsive to questions and implementing useful changes and updates.”

Not only can I now search through 50-year-old handwritten documents, but the program also automatically extracts critical data such as ADs and Airman numbers, while providing compliance status and due-date information. The user interface is clean and pleasant, and the overall workflow is intuitive and efficient. !!Give it a try!!”
